Jagannath Bose has been one of the pioneers in establishing the talk theatre and audio drama in the world of performing arts in Bengal. The romantic lover, the struggling author or the harried husband - they all come alive through the sheer magic of his voice.
He has been involved in several important creative projects in radio and television - producing the radio plays "Septopaser Khide" by Satyajit Ray, "Sarisrip" by Bidhayaka Bhattacharya and Moti Nandy's "Kony" and was a key member in the prize winning radio play "Benzamin MolaZ".
After a very successful tenure as Director of Doordarshan Kendra, Kolkata in 2006, he now devotes a lot of time in nurturing talent, conducting extensive workshops on talk theatre, fulfilling numerous social responsibilities and providing valuable guidance to new initiatives in the field of performing arts.
